Nov-22-04		InspiredByMorphy: I must commend Stauntons creativity with 7.Nxc7+ and 8.Qf4 but black could have won a pawn with 8. ...Qxf2 and if an attempt is made to win it back with 9.Qg5+ things could get nasty for white after 9. ...Nf6 .

Nov-22-04		Chess Champ: Most of these games were played by patzers against Morphy but still his winning % is greatest of them all!

Oct-18-07		beatgiant: <InspiredByMorphy> At first glance, 9...Qxf2 10. Qxf2 Bxf2 11. Nxa8 Nxa1 12. Bf4 Bd4 13. Kc1 a5 14. Na3, followed by Kb1 etc. and Black's knight can't escape while White's can. Am I missing anything?

Oct-18-07		InspiredByMorphy: <beatgiant> Your not missing anything. Your move 12.Bf4! leaves black with next to nothing. The main difference here seems to be that whites queen bishop has a clear diagonal, while blacks is still shut in.
