  wwall: Perhaps 13...Kf7 is better. If 14.Nxg7 Kxg7 15.Bxe5+, then 15...Nf6.

If 17...Nh5, then 18.Nxh6+ Ke6 19.Qf7+ Kxe5 20.Qe7+ Kf4 21.Rg1, threatening 22.Qg5 mate.

After 18.Qxe5, White is threatening 19.Nd6+ Kg6 20.Rg1 Kh7 21.Qe7 mate. But Black could have continued 18...Bc5 19.Qc7+ Kg6 20.Ne7+ Bxe7 21.Qxe7 Qg4 22.Qxb7 Rab8 23.Qxa7 Rxb2

Jul-03-06   beatles fan: This bloke probably always plays the Grob, so that he can just get out of book.

ganstaman: <beatles fan> I don't think he played it to necessarily get out of the book. He was an insane murderer, and this opening is insane and aggressive. Just look at his name.
Mar-09-07   Themofro: <ganstaman> Agreed. Plus, almost all of the Bloodgood games were correspondence games so taking the opponent out of the book really wouldn't be that big of an advantage.
