Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-07-04  kostich in time: a wonderful, sharp game. One time, I read an article by a "scientific" Racist( an oxymoron, in my opinion), who asserted that a good Black chess player was an impossiblity. This is a counter-example.
Dec-07-04  iron maiden: How many black grandmasters are there right now? I only know of one--Ashley.
Dec-07-04  Minor Piece Activity: Emory Tate is a Fide Master. Not a GM but he would probably handily beat 95% of the kibitzers who come here. =) His style is often compared to Tal- aggressive and speculative. He would probably become a GM if he played with a bit more consistency.
Mar-16-05  Runemaster: 19...e4! is beautiful.
Mar-16-05  Saruman: The idea of 19.-e4! is that 20.Bxe4? loses straight away to 20.-Rh6 and the queen is trapped!
Apr-10-05  chessdrummer: Hello everyone!

This is a great game of Tate's. I was there when he played it and he did a public analysis of it to a standing-room only crowd in the skittles room!

I don't know what that writer considers "good." I wrote an article about white supremacists discussing Black chess players. It is at The Chess Drum... a 4000-page site that may give that scientist a few things to think on. Yes... there is only one Black GM, with a few knocking on the door. Here's the article.

Sep-15-18  wordfunph: Emory Tate, GM slayer!
