Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-05-04  Knight13: 36. Kb4 is my answer because White just gets checks by moving to d5. By moving the king to a4 in the endgame, the rook is able to black the annoying check. You know what I mean. Also, 25. Ne7+ saves the knight. So 24... Bxc2?! is little silly move.
Nov-05-04  samvega: <36. Kb4 is my answer because White just gets checks by moving to d5. By moving the king to a4 in the endgame, the rook is able to black the annoying check. You know what I mean.> . . . but white won.

<Also, 25. Ne7+ saves the knight. So 24... Bxc2?! is little silly move.> 24..Bxc2 wins a pawn regardless of whether white replies 25.Kxc2 or 25.Ne7+

Nov-05-04  Knight13: <samvega> Then 25. Ne7+ Kf7 26. Nxg6 would be equal.

<the rook is able to black the annoying check> Not "black." Sorry it is a mistake. It's "block."

Nov-05-04  samvega: 25.Ne7+ Kf7 26.Nxg6 would be a 'desparado' if not for 26..Bxg6.
