Oct-17-07  dougrhess: Is this his Polar Bear opening?
Nov-07-07  Visscher: no look for the uncommon openings. This is just the bird opening
Nov-07-07  Judah: <Visscher>, what Danielsen calls the Polar Bear system is just a particular variation of Bird's opening. (I don't know the details, however.)

Domdaniel: It's a mutant polar bear cub. In the Polar Bear proper, White plays g3 and c3 and d3 in the style of a reversed Leningrad Dutch, if left unmolested. Here, Black molests him -- 2...Bg4!? is the Bird version of a popular anti-Dutch system.
