Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-16-08  gambitfan: An outsider beats the master !
Jan-03-10  rmilamrtapa: Am I missing something? How is it 0-1?
Jan-03-10  mojonera: 31...rb7 32. cb7 kb8 33. rc3 qf4
Jan-03-10  rmilamrtapa: Thanks <mojonera>. Kb8 Fairly obvious I guess. Unless Reti didn't see it.

The whole last section of the game gives the impression of a remarkable escape.

Jan-03-13  dotsamoht: Not so sure it is not 1-0.

31. Qb7+ Rxb7 32. cxb7+ Kb8 33. Na6+ Kxb7 34. Nxc7 Kxc7 35. Re7+ and 36. Rxf7 leaves White a pawn ahead.

Jan-03-13  Tullius: <dotsamoht> In your line 33.Na6+ is an illegal move as it would put White's King in check.
Mar-31-14  the.raven: <Tullius> perhaps that is the reason why Réti played Qb7+ and then gave up - he didn't realize the knight would be pinned..
