Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-17-12  optimal play: 30.Ne4! is a very good move by Thomas, attacking the Rook en prise on a7 and threatening Nd6 or Nxf6+ I'm not sure 30...Rf7 was the best response? Maybe Qa6 or even Rd7 would have been better? In any event after 35...Rxg7 White certainly has the superior game but it still appears playable for Black. Perhaps it was another case of resigning in annoyance after playing a weak move?
