Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-16-12  ughaibu: Presumably there's an historical context which explains the rabid approach by white(?)

Abdel Irada: A rather Kostic approach. Perhaps white forgot that black's bishop defends the critical g6 square; he really did need to defend his pawn on e3 and the exchange that came attached to it.

Again it appears that 6. h4 is a poor plan against patient defense, and exchanging on f6 doesn't work out well for white. There are only two games in the database using the move, but the results suggest that white either shouldn't develop the bishop on g5 or should be prepared to retreat when the question is put to it.
