Apr-12-04   jaime gallegos: on this tournament Granda made great endings, here a Queen sac + Knight fork ( see also Granda-Zuniga vs E Arancibia 2004 )

beenthere240: I'm not sure that qualifies as a sac, it's a nice but hardly deep simplifying combination

patzer2: This game has several instructive combinations. Black's 20...Rc2!! initiates a long double attack combination to win a pawn with 27... Qxa3.

As <jaime gallegos> indicates, the move 36...Nd4! followed by 36...Bxb5 initiate a double attack combination (albeit by pin & Knight Fork) to simplify to a won ending after 40...Ne2+.

Nov-12-05   Inf: if only he had read a book about chess. he could've been 2700+ player.
