Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-21-04  Elrathia Kingi: 9.Qxc5? The queen spends the rest of the game running from danger.
Oct-07-06  melv: What about 23. Rd7
Sep-25-07  aazqua: d*c5? these guys are horrible.
Jul-28-08  castelao2: 9...Qc5 is not so bad, the big blunder seems 10...b6 and the Nc6 was in serious distress; black must play more carefully 10...0-0 and take a little adventage
Sep-15-11  chillowack: melv: if 23...Rd7 24.Qb5 wins (24...Rd8 25.Rd1).

aazqua: while you are right that 9.dxc5 is an "anti-positional" move (the usual rule being "capture *toward* the center"), in this case there are some tactical ideas behind it (such as 10...Qc3? 11.Bb2), and White is playing for tempi.

However, I still wouldn't have played this move myself: I value the center too highly to abandon it this way.
