Chessical: The long march of Xiangzhi Bu's brave K comes to a disasterous end with <40...Rxa2?> (40...Bc3 would have kept him in the game)

Xiangzhi Bu overlooks that he will not thereafter be able to protect his <d6> pawn as if <42...Qg7> 43.Qxd6+ Kxb3 44.Qe6 with dreadful threats of a revealed check/mate.

A very unfortunate blunder.

Dec-05-08  vsark: Wow that is one long march for a king...
Dec-05-08  Davolni: I don't think 40...Rxa2 is a blunder....

it's probably a wrong move, but not a blunder...
