Once in Dortmund, after Leko defeated Topalov and advanced to the match against Kramnik, Topalov approached Volodya and I and said: “Hey, why should I be sad? Do I have a chance against the man whose second has a 100 percent score against me?!” (laughs) Of course, that was not Veselin’s best tournament. By the way, Kramnik was the one who prepared me for that game!
