Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-11-06   BabyJ: Against Bonin (the USA), Dlugy
plays one of the masterpieces of the
Royal Game! The position after 18 d5!
is almost comical. Black's knight is
now attacked (as it wasn't on the
previous move) and cannot move.

Sep-04-09   NewLine: I love it when the battle starts from the beginning of the game. Straight to business. Punching around. Until the other king get it in his face...
Sep-04-09   AnalyzeThis: Agreed. This was a slugfest.

Sep-04-09   lzromeu: 13bxf3 was premature move.
Weak atack.
Exposed the statical back rank.
Not a good black's game
Sep-04-09   TheTamale: I don't get the pun today. Anyone...?

Eisenheim: The Pun - I took it to mean that blacks incursion with his Queen was squarely defeated. In the U.S. sports teams use the phrase to mean that they refuse to lose when they are the hometeam.
Sep-04-09   JonathanJ: 18.d5 is nice!

kevin86: This game looks like a duel by two guys with axes-really bloody-but ending in a winner and a dead loser.

In the absence of any other reasonable explanation, I guess I have to agree.

RandomVisitor: Black should have tried 5...c5 or 5...Bb7 scoring +0.18/20.
Sep-04-09   WhiteRook48: funny
