Oct-31-06   Whitehat1963: Is there no way out of this nightmare of a draw?
Oct-31-06   aktajha: how do you mean? It's just a perpetual now; but it's all theory for quite some years. May be the top players should 'play' lines like this instead of taking short draw; you can't say it's not a fighting game (with a queen sac!!!)

tpstar: Handy draw line = http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches...

White can avoid the perpetual with 11. Nxb5 Qa5+ Opening Explorer but it's interesting that nobody's tried 11. Nxd4 exd4 12. Qxd4 yet.

Nov-02-06   aw1988: I don't really like White's position after the proposed Nxd4 exd4 Qxd4 but I'm too lazy to look into it just now so more on this later.
Aug-05-07   cgaros: after 11. Nxd4 Black can just play 11...Bd7 and be up a pawn for nothing. There's not really a logical motivation for black to centralize white's queen, although black is probably fine in that line too.
