Phony Benoni: Not much of a pun, but I thought the game was interesting. I like the way Black refused to sacrifice his g7-bishop for a useless rook, but was more than glad to trade it to clear away a pawn that wqs in the way.

White pretty much has to start throwing material overboard. One bad alternative is 40.f3 Re8 41.Kf2 Rxe3 41.Kxe3 Re7+ 42.Kxd3 Qc7!, and mate follwos.

OrangeTulip: The sacrifice of the Knight on move 40 is also great, at least for me as earthling
Dec-23-18  siggemannen: Does white have any relation with the Golan-Globus film company former CEO/founder?
Dec-23-18  DonChalce: love the knight sacrifice
Dec-23-18  Ironmanth: Elegant way to win; thanks chessgames. Wondrous and sacred holidays to all there.

catlover: If I was in Globus' shoes, the sight of those two connected passed pawns on the sixth rank would have made me sweat.
