patzer2: Kramnik plays a brilliant positional game as Black with the minor pieces in this Ruy Lopez. Bologan does not look like anything like a strong GM in this game, but I'm sure that has a lot to do with Kramnik's deep opening preparation and outstanding positional play.
Aug-09-04  rndapology: Yes...Bologan was outright decimated in this game. Kramnik planned and succesfully put his light bishop on a nice diagonal, threatened to do the same with the other one, locked up white's peices, and managed to pull off a passed pawn after Bologan's dubious f4.

Mateo: 22.h5 didn't prove to be a correct sacrifice. The simple 22.Ned2 should hold.
Mar-04-11  Salaskan: This is Kramnik's only win with the Berlin wall in classical time control, while he had 17 draws and 3 losses with it.

acirce: This wasn't a classical game. But he did win Ivanchuk vs Kramnik, 2001 although by the "Berlin Wall" maybe you mean the endgame.
Mar-12-11  Salaskan: The Berlin Wall arises after 8...Kxd8 (which is not an endgame, but a middlegame without queens). The passive 4.d3 is an entirely different variation.
