OlimpBase: a very good game by Harri. Please go to link below to watch the game along with the comments of the winner.
Jul-09-05  fenno: I would have played 11. Bxd8 ;)
Jul-09-05  Veryrusty: Score probably reverses White's 10th and 11th moves. As listed, 11 Bxd8 looks worth a try.

OlimpBase: Chessfiles wrongly list White's 7th move as Bg5 instead of proper Bf4 which Harry personally told me. Apparently owners of chessgames.com deleted part of my previous comment which included a link which is not a good decision I believe since there is no point in banning other chess sites from linking from here. http://1974.olimpbase.org
Nov-28-08  Poisonpawns: This was m y first win over a GM and the only loss of whole Bulgarian team in the Olympiad. Their government had promised a car to everyone if they get medal. They came only fourth, with equal points as USA, who won bronze. This loss on penultimate round was that kind of shock that my opponent disappeared without signing the scoresheet nor saying anything, After few minutes he began analysing the game with his team-mates, especially the first board player GM Radulov, who believed that he knows my chess skill level. He won the zonal tournament at Helsinki 1972, I was a demonstration board boy at that time and he had also seen me to play blixt badly. Radulov tried to show how Tringov should have played and Tringov showed how white would win against such and such defences. I was looking from distance how the GMs analysed my game, Radulov trying to show a defence and Tringov trying to prove him that nothing was to be done, he was lost long before the end. At Malta Olympiad 1980 we met again and Tringov did not analyse at all, he said after that game just " Ganz gewonnenen parti" meaning clearly that the result was just an accident. Well maybe, but anyhow I won even that game in a nice way, see combination nr 6 in Informator 30. Harri M Hurme

I was wondering why White didn't nab the Black Queen after 10...Nh5.

A good candidate for <mack>'s collection of games by chessgames members.

<Poisonpawns> A fine game by you. Congratulations.
