  capafan: 8....e5 is an improvement here. Black reacts aggressively to white's omission of d5 and his/her attempt to complicate on the queenside. White, in response, has tried to push the d-pawn or support it with e3. Both moves have been less than successful-- taking the e-pawn is white's best try. 10.....Be6 was inaccurate [11. Ng4] A better response is 10.....e4, leading to the current main line of 11. Rd1 Qe7 12. Nd4 Kh8.
