Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-11-04  fgh: Personally, I think that 4. ... exd5 was the losing blunder.
Oct-11-04  clocked: 16.Nxe4!
Oct-11-04  checkpat: losin? But B can survive a long time after 21 Qxb7 Qxd4... And the check in h7 is not lethal...
I suppose Korchnoi wuld play for the win here :=))))
Dec-04-05  THE pawn: <checkpat> I agree, the continuation on h7+ seems useless and the next one is unclear : Qxb7 Qxd4 Qe4 Qd5

My computer agrees that it's not all over, even if the evaluation gives white good chances. He saw the line I gave, but think white in long term might enjoy more this one:

TheAlchemist: <refutor> Since you're playing Kasparov, you might as well end the suffering right away with 4...Qxd5 :-))

thegoodanarchist: geez, it's just a simul and your down over 800 rating points. Why not play it out???

When I played GM Mednis in a simul in 1986 I lost a bishop in the opening but I played until checkmate anyway.

Oct-19-06  TrueFiendish: You must be proud. :-)
Apr-13-08  Whitehat1963: So, what's the finish, then?

hedgeh0g: I can't see any crushing finish. Black may have thought White had one with Qh7+ or Qxb7 (forking rook and knight) and subsequently resigned, but despite a somewhat worse position, Black seems to be holding on after ...Kf7 and ...Qxd4 respectively.
