Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-13-10  KERESOV: An incredible game by GM Kotronias ! The positional exchange sacrifice was very beautiful indeed ... Bravo !

fredthebear: It's interesting how White allowed his a-pawns to become doubled with the exchange of queens when instead he could have initiated the exchange and inflicted doubled b-pawns upon Black. The White knight was awkwardly placed on the edge. All three units on the a-file fall in Black's hands.

In the final position, Black has mate in one by the rook making use of the king's opposition.
