... his resignations seems possibly premature. He might have tried <29. Nd3>. After a further hypothetical <29. ... 0-0 30. Rd7 Rfd8 31. Rxd8 Rxd8 32. Bc5 Bxc5+ 33. Nxc5 Rc8 34. Na6>, White would have had some counterplay.
