  tpstar: After 22. Qe8! Bc7 I thought White had an immediate win with 23. Rxd4 cxd4 24. Bf4 = 24 ... Qe6+ 25. Ne2, but I guess 25 ... Qf6 holds everything and now Black threatens 26 ... Bxd7. Exciting game!

PS The official site originally showed the game ending 44 ... Qe4+?? 45. Kxe4 1/2-1/2 and later changed it.

tpstar: <InspiredByMorphy> After 23. Rxd4 exd4 I didn't like 24. Bg5 due to 24 ... Bxd7 and now the Queen must leave the back rank, giving time for 25 ... Re8+ and if 26. Ne2 Bxb5 wins material. Instead 24. Bf4 contains a mate threat, but seemingly not enough to justify sacrificing the exchange. I really enjoyed watching this game.
