patzer2: Instead of the preferred 8...c6=, Fritz 8 plays the rare 8...Qd7, which was previously played in Ivkov vs Polugaevsky, 1982 to a draw. However, with good piece play and even chances, Fritz 8 eventually creates and presses a small advantage to a big enough advantage for the win.

IMO White should have played the 9. Qxd7+ = line from the Ivkov vs. Polugaevsky game, as Black has easy equality or better after this game's 9. Bf4 Qxa4 =.

patzer2: White's 37. Kh1? is immediately decisive for Black after 37...Bxg3! 38. fxg3 Re8 , which creates and targets a weak backward pawn. Putting up more resistance with some practical chances was 37. Bg4 .
