Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-12-05  Maroczy: It's early in the morning but what's wrong with 25. Queen takes f2?.
Jan-12-05  northbridge: Wow ... 25. Kg1??? What a blunder, after the obvious 25. Qxf2 white is clearly better. This is one of the worst blunders I've ever seen.

I even checked it with Fritz to make sure there were no tactics and after 25.Kg1 the score drops from +1.7 to -7.5.

Jan-12-05  Maroczy: <northbridge> Thanks. Time trouble? Nerves? Tough way to lose, to a machine at that.

chessgames.com: I don't trust this game score. All games from this tournament were, ironically, not recorded by computer but reconstructed from the handwritten scoresheets. Several absurd moves, and a few illegal moves, were found after the games were entered. Maybe in the future we can find the necessary corrections.
Jan-12-05  cloybloy: What's wrong with 22.Bxg4? I can't find find any plausible refutation for black.
Jan-12-05  percyblakeney: <cloyboy> I don't know, but I know what is wrong with 22. Bc4 and 23. Qf3...

23. ... Bxf3 would be mate in the next move, by the way. The gamescore is clearly not to be trusted.

Jan-17-05  cloybloy: It seems that we can't even trust the order of moves. No offense meant to the contributor.
Jul-15-05  DanRoss53: Indeed this can't be the correct score. Any computer (and most patzers for that matter) would see 23... Bxf3 followed by 24... Qxg2# immediately.
Oct-11-06  Shrekster: Something is quite fishy here yes. First Chandra gives gives his Queen, then Junior decided not to take it. Then black gives his knight away and Chandra decides to move his King...
