Jan-24-05  percyblakeney: Here Cheparinov just played to run down Stefanova's clock since there were no time increments. 150. ... Kc3 looks winning, but Stefanova only had a few seconds left by then.
Jan-11-06  who: How often do you see two different sets of irish pawns in one game? I guess black shouldn't have pushed her pawns and just settled for a 50 move draw.

Robin01: <who> What are "Irish pawns"?
Jan-12-06  who: Tripled isolated pawns.
Jan-12-06  Marvol: Hmm... there's a capture by white at move 51 (Kxf4) then there's nothing until at move 83 white captures again.

Then nothing until at move 115 black captures and she starts moving her pawn afterwards.

I agree with who that it may have been prudent for her not to capture that pawn and just wait - at some point she could've just yelled '50 moves' and gotten a draw. Maybe.

Apr-27-06  soberknight: See items 278 and 274 by Tim Krabbe: http://www.xs4all.nl/~timkr/chess2/...
Apr-27-06  dbquintillion: Do any of those observations include the fact that this is an extremely tedious game to play through?
Jan-24-09  WhiteRook48: bishop pair was tough, but, not everything
May-03-09  WhiteRook48: 150...Ke5 may be better
Jun-01-11  kevins55555: <percyblakeney> You're saying that Stefanova actually ran out of time? Interesting!
