dakgootje: Very nice played by black, and white nicely allowed (or didnt see) the mate =)

Landman: 22.Qg4+? was a mistake in time pressure. White is slightly better after a move like 22.Qd7 (...Rd8 23.Qe7 Qxb5? 24.Qxd8+), but it's still very easy to go wrong. The final moves starting with 24.Nf5 were played rapidly - White didn't have time to resign. =)
Dec-06-06   Rocafella: Is 13.fxg6 theory? I just expected the pawn to be taken by the queen =P

Landman: It's theory now! =) Actually, at the time this was played, 10.Nxe7 was new to me. I didn't like 10...Nxe7 because of 11.Qf3 but that's actually the preferred move, even back then.

At move 13, I still like gxf6 better than Qxf6 - after the Q capture the central counterplay is slower.

Dec-07-06   Rocafella: <Landman> Thanks! I see what you're saying the position looks cramped with the Queen taking the pawn!
