notyetagm: <This game provides an excellent example of the power of opposite-colored bishops in attacking positions.> Black exerted tremendous pressure on the White kingside down the a8-h1 diagonal with his light-squared c6-bishop, pressure which White could not oppose since he had traded his light-squared bishop for a knight earlier in the game. After playing 21 ... h5, Black threatened to add even more pressure to the tender g2-square by 22 ... h4, making the White g3-knight move to open the g-file for Black's g8-rook. This threat caused White to play 22 Rg1, defending g2 but also trapping the White king in a corridor on the h-file. Black then saw his chance to play a typical mating pattern down the h-file and so played 22 ... Rg4, threatening the standard 23 ... Qxh2+! 24 Kxh2 Rh4#. White missed this threat completely, played 23 Rbd1, and had to resign immediately due to the aforementioned mate.

notyetagm: <You must have a plan!> I particulary like the sequence Black played with 12 ... f5! 13 exf5 gxf5!, opening both the a8-h1 diagonal for the unopposed light-squared bishop and the g-file for Black's king's rook. <As early as move 12 Black has formulated his winning plan of laying siege to White's g2-pawn down both the long diagonal and the g-file.>
