May-26-05  YoungChessmaster: Tough game for black. It's so hard to get the pawn back and when you do, white is already up to other things like a king side attack.

Well, black played ok. I don't really like Nbd7 blocking the Q check on a4. I rather play bd7, followed by qc7, and e5! After d3 - black must move the knight to b6. You just don't have time to play pb6 and bb7. Instead play that bishop to g4 (after Nb6) Because as we saw that bishop did nothing.

plang: Played in round 9 of this six player double round robin classical event; two rounds earlier Dominguez had played 16..Nxe4 against Macieja and White had gone on to win. Here Dominguez tries 16..Nbd7. 25..Be8 was directed at some of the tactical threats: ie. 25..Bd4 26 Qd2..gxh 27 Rxe6! or 25..Bxb2 26 Bxe6. It would have been risky to try 29..Rxd3 30 Nh5..Qd4 31 Qg5..Kf8 32 Re4!..Qxb2 33 Qc5+..Kg8 34 Rg4. In time pressure 32..Qd4? was an error; 32..Bd4 would have been better.
