May-17-06  offramp: White's QR makes a long journey in this game.

Ra1-b1-b4-d4-a4-a3-c3-c2-b2-b1-b8.

32.Qa5 was an error. 32.Qd1 might have been better, threatening to go to a4.

keypusher: The opening is very much like this famous game: Anderssen vs Steinitz, 1866-- White trades off his KB, develops passively and misplaces his rook. Luckily the chess world did not conclude that the Ruy Lopez had been refuted. :-)
Jan-14-11  Llawdogg: Steinitz is incredible. 11 ... Ng8! amazes me. After losing his knight on c6, he decides to start over with this one and redeploy it over there. I never would have come up with that before playing through this game. Never.
