  Karpova: 9...c4?! <looks dubious. 9...Nc6 was better (i.e. 9...Nc6 10.Re1 Be6 11.Rb1 Qe7)> 13...Qa5 <Why not simply 13...Ne7> 14.Rf3 <gives away white's advantage. Qd2 allows Bf3 and white attacks the weak d5-pawn> 14...Bf5 <Ne7 was also possible> 15...Rad8 <the black queen is cut off. better Be4 at once and then the queen can still move Qb6+ and Qd8> 17.a3?! <gives away the advantage> 17...Qb6+ <17...Rxd6 18.exd6 Qc5+ 19.Kh1 Qxd6 20.Qd2 f5 was possible> 18.Kh1 <Kf1 is better> 19...Ne7? <an outright blunder. 19.Bf3 was not so good and black could have played 19...Kh8 with the better game, i.e. 20.Rc1 f6 21.Bc7 fxe5 22.Bxd8 exf4 23.Rh3 Rxd8 though>
