notyetagm: A perfect example of the endgame principle that it is more important to have the -faster- passed pawn then to have more (passed) pawns.

Black draws this endgame because his sole passed pawn is one square from promotion while White's three connected passed pawns have barely left their starting squares.

whiteshark: <56.Rc5??> is a terrible slip of attention. It was of course natural to exchange the last black pawn and win with the pair of own marching peasants, e.g. <56.cxd3+ Kxd3> (or 56...Kd4 57.Rb5 Kc3 58.Kb1 Rb2+ 59.Ka1 Rg2 60.a5 ) <57.Rc5 Rg2 58.a5 >.
