plang: This variation always amazes me as white. White sacrifices so much time in the opening to obtain the two bishops that he frequently gets mated in 25 moves. The books I have on this opening mention no other move other than 5 dc. It seems like 5 Nf3 or 5 e3 with the idea of developing faster are reasonable alternatives. 8 b4 and 10 c5 are an ambitious plan to show that the knights are overextended. Mokry sacrifices one of them for a powerful initiative. 22 Qb3 is a blunder. Mokry suggests 22 Qe2 as an alternative.
