<36... Qd8> 37. Qf7+ Kh8 38. Ng6 mate <36... Nf8> 37. h6!! (the queen is immune due to h7+ and Ng6 mate) 37... Re7 38. Bxc7 Rcxc7 39. h7+ Kh8 40. d5 and wins.

The more pedestrian <36. h6> also wins <36...Rf8> 37. hxg7 Qxg7 38. Qxe6+ Rf7 39. Nxf7! as Qxd4+ is only a spite check.
