Jun-16-05  mymt: Why bother with 6. ...e6 ? Better options against Keres Attack are 7. ...h6,7. ...Be7, 7. ...Nc6, or 7. ...b5.Even 7. ...d5 & 7. ...h5 have been tried.
Jul-14-07  soughzin: Because after 6.Be3 we don't have a Keres. If black wants the Schevy setup, the time is now for e6. After 7.g4 white will usually sac a piece and it's not clear if there is a real advantage or not. After the dust has settled about move 32 the comps still favor black's endgame. But, as you can see black is walking on thin ice in the middlegame and i'd still rather play white personally!
