Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-15-05  BobbyBishop: I wonder why the draw here as it seems black has a won game. The bishop pair..queenside pawn majority..active rook. A possible continuation might be:

25. Nd6 Bxd6
26. exd6 Re8
27. Bc5 Rxe1+
28. Rxe1 f6
29. Re8+ Kf7
30. Ra8 Rd5
31. Be3 a5

It seems the e pawn will soon fall. What does white have here? Please enlighten if I'm missing something.

Sep-15-05  iron maiden: With best play, Black can probably win. But Nakamura had a sizeable time advantage, and Carlsen didn't want to take any risks.
Sep-15-05  samvega: If I make take a wild stab at it: 25..Bxd6 26.exd6 Re8 27.Nd4
