Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-27-05  djmercury: Bauer and Pelletier are not good blitzer I suppose. Last seven moves are full of blunder, because of time trouble. Pelletier missed the strong 34. ... Rg7!.
Jul-27-05  aw1988: <djmercury> Rg7 is impossible as the king is pinned.
Jul-27-05  Koster: Istead of 39...Nf5? the obvious Rxg3 gives white only slightly better ending. Black probably was down to a few seconds by then.
Jul-28-05  djmercury: <aw1998> 34. ... Rbg7 is possible. After: 35. Rxh7+ Rxh7+ 36. Rh2 Qe7 and black is clearly better. <Koster> yes, Pellettier missed also the possible draw not exchanging the rooks. While Bauer missed 36. Rg2 and 37. Qxf5.
