tpstar: The April Fools Game. I hoped to survive a shaky opening with 11. Nc4, but it turns out I missed 3 chances to play it, especially 8. Nc4 b5 9. Ne3 Anand vs Ponomariov, 2003 but also 9. Nc4 & 10. Nc4. So whenever Black avoids advancing ... b5, White should play Nc4 and maneuver the Na3 over to e3 without playing c3 yet. Instead I won the Pd6 at the cost of the Pe4 and Black was already better. At least I avoided 15. Nd2? Rxd2! 16. Kxd2 Qxf2+ and Black mates in a hurry, yet I castled into it (17. 0-0) and missed winning the exchange. Then we both missed 24 ... Qf6 and Black picks up a clear exchange, over the game continuation which cost both Rooks. Even the final move is goofy.
