Dec-08-05  nikolaas: This is Borukhovich's only loss from the belgian championship 1921. It was the greatest succes of his career. He finished with 8½/12 before ao Colle and Koltanowski.

Borukhovich was born in Antwerp 16 september 1898. He fled for the first world war and went to Switzerland. He learned to play chess there and continued his studies. In 1919 he returned to Belgium. He played for the clubs of Luik and of Antwerp. However, he lost matches against Knappels and Colle. After that he disappeared from the chess scene. He achieved two draws against Alekhine; one in consultation with Knappels and the other, the day after in a simul.
