Sep-29-05  pankajdaga: <TheAlchemist> Well, I can rattle out 25 moves in 10 mts. as well... but I will loose after that :)
Sep-29-05  Koster: Antone know the time left for each player?
Sep-29-05  farrooj: damn computers..can anyone tell me how to evaluate this position?
Sep-29-05  ongyj: what an interesting move from Anand!!
Sep-29-05  chessic eric: and we have h4! instead of Be7....
Sep-29-05  tud: h5 for Anand. Not even in my dreams could see that move. Why ?

Shams: I would almost think Topalov has the draw in hand here. He can prevent giving back the exchange on c6 and black has no mobile pawns of his own. Of course, just as I type this Anand has played ...h5
Sep-29-05  chessic eric: sorry, h5. Trying to avoid Topalov's obvious prepared lines???
Sep-29-05  nimzovichlarsen: a draw is a loss for Topalov.

TheAlchemist: <pankajdaga> Good for you! I would lose before that :-)
Sep-29-05  SnoopDogg: h5 is interesting, but is dubious or looks dubious.

sofouuk: Koster: Topa 1:53 Anand 1:25
Sep-29-05  mang00neg: Does any1 know the idea behind h5? I thought Be7 was clearly the right move.
Sep-29-05  GreatGrecosGhost: h5

What the hell is Anand's plan?

Sep-29-05  Veryrusty: Aggressive waiting. Stops Qg4 and asks Topalov, "how can you strength your position?"
Sep-29-05  farrooj: koster the time is written on top next to the players names
Sep-29-05  SnoopDogg: I would have to say h5 is not purely psychological but psychology has a lot to do with that move.
Sep-29-05  DutchDunce: Good grief, Topalov has only used 8 minutes! This reminds me of that Kasparov-Anand game where Kaspy won entirely in home preparation. In his own words: "2 minutes for 20 moves, but 48 hours preparing beforehand."
Sep-29-05  percyblakeney: After 25 moves Shredder thinks black is less than 0.3 pawns up.
Sep-29-05  ongyj: but I can't see what's Black up to at all... he can't play ...h4 yet...

Richard Taylor: It must be hard for Topalov -no matter what he does Anand keeps smiling.
Sep-29-05  farrooj: <fianchettofemme> why'd you say that?
Sep-29-05  BrotherJed: I don't think black is in too much danger here. Black will have the option of exchanging Rook for Bishop and Pawn and get out of trouble.
Sep-29-05  chessic eric: lol <Richard Taylor>

bernieno: <Chessmaster9001> If you are right, this will be an unpleasant deja vu for Anand. He was destroyed by a home prerparation by Kasparov in their world champinonship match about 10 years ago.
