Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-15-07  aazqua: Baffling. I don't understand how people who should be good completely punt fairly straightforward positions. Why does white drop the pawn here? If anything, white's position is better but he doesn't even consider activating his king for the endgame. The black monarch advances, white makes some confusing moves, drops a pawn and destroys his position. As i say, baffling.
Apr-16-07  TrueFiendish: Yes, I wonder about 26.g3. Perhaps Kf1 to activate the king. But by the time white drops the pawn the black king has already infiltrated and he is in bad trouble anyway.
