Nov-10-05  erimiro1: Amazing, how an experienced GM as Vaganian, managed the game so badly. Without knowing the theory of this variation, I feel that the problems started from his 7. - c5(?). Roiz, wisely, used it by taking control on the a4-e8 diagonal. 12. - 0-0-0 seems to be another weak move, that was made, probably, because the threat of d:c5, Rd1, etc. Roiz, with a lot of patient worked on the black king's bad position, and Vaganian didn't wait for the collapse and he resigned.

PhilFeeley: I would have liked to see them play it out. The win is not obvious to me, especially after the exchange of queens.

suenteus po 147: Vaganian seems on a downward slide. Out of 29 games in major events this year, he's only managed to win four, and all of those games were as white.
