Nov-21-05  cade: Haha mated by a knight and king. How sad is that?
Nov-21-05  SnoopDogg: <cade> <Haha mated by a knight and king. How sad is that?>

How sad is it to forget the pawn is on the board as well? :-)

Nov-21-05  cade: Pawns aren't pieces fyi
Nov-21-05  SnoopDogg: Of course, however, you didn't say that. You said he was mated by a knight and a king. Then I said you forgot the pawn was apart of the mate and even added a smiley face to imply its all fun and games.

How on earth did you get to thinking I thought a pawn was a piece.

Anyways its just splitting hairs so we shouldn't get into an argument containing he said, she said remarks.

Nov-22-05  cade: A Knight and a King cannot mate so losing to a mating threat when the only piece your opponent has left is a Knight is pretty funny. Understand?

LIFE Master AJ: A nice game, the Knight ending must have been close to absolute perfection.
Sep-11-06  Brown: <cade> It is YOU who doesn't get the point, that the extra pawn completely changes the position. Your point that a knight and King cannot mate a lone king never existed in the game, so why mention it?

Chess is precise, and a slight change in position or material can alter things dramatically. Understand?
