Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-11-06   MarkN: this could be a puzzle with white to move 29.?
Jan-11-06   morpstau: Hey Markn this puzzle is a cake walk. A blind man can see the knight fork approaching.
Jan-11-06   MarkN: ive seen easier monday puzzles
Jan-11-06   morpstau: like what ? Give example please.
Jan-12-06   MarkN: I dont have a monday puzzle collection, but if youve been here long enough you'd know that there are puzzles far easier on mondays

chessgames.com: I don't like it because no material is gained (White starts off up a pawn, and after 30...Kxc8 31.Ne7+ he'd still be up a pawn). It's a tactical finesse to simplify into the won pawn ending.
Jan-12-06   jackmandoo: I challenge the chessgames administrators to a game.
Jan-12-06   jackmandoo: This is to prove my knowledge and power once and for all. We can play right here exchanging moves. I'll even go first.

1. I put an X in the middle box

Jan-12-06   olaf4lena: 14. NxN forcing the exchange of queens and a permanent pawn weakness.
Jan-13-06   misguidedaggression: <chessgames.com> jackmandoo has a good idea! The Goldsby pages are closed down, freeing up about 1/3 of your time! Now you have more time for chess! Admin vs. users anyone?

chessgames.com: Admins vs users? Maybe one day. It would probably prove to be embarrassing for us.

Incidentally, when I wrote "I don't like it", I meant that I don't like it as a puzzle. It is truly a beautiful move.
