Aug-04-07  Poisonpawns: Fantatic Game by GM Bareev. He recommends 10.Qd2 in his notes but Yusupov wished to rule out the thrust g6-g5 once and for all.Yusupov should have maintained a slight adv with 14.b3.After some innacurate moves he was in for an unpleasant suprise 20..f4!
Dec-08-09  acirce: <I haven't played the Dutch defence for two and a half years because I don't really think this opening is quite correct, so I did not intend starting a game with f7-f5 this tournament. However, after losing a very promising position against Adams I dropped back to fifty per cent. Of my last three games I had to play two as Black and I wanted to have a good finish.

That morning, as I was sitting by the pond feeding the ducks and thinking about the boring Slav, "Buster", a big swan, came to me to claim his feed. I automatically stretched out my hand to offer him a piece of bread, and he took my finger in his beak and started pulling. This instantly made me think of the Dutch defence.> - Bareev, New In Chess 1993/5

Dec-08-09  FHBradley: This sounds a bit like the famous story about Tartakower visiting the New York Zoo and discovering 1 b4.
Dec-08-09  falso contacto: acirce might be back.
