Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-07-06  notyetagm: A great example of weak pawns (Black's kingside pawns) not being a weakness if they cannot be attacked. White is too busy stopping the Black outside passed b-pawn to mount an attack against the weak Black doubled f- and h-pawns.

Not only are the shattered Black kingside pawns not a weakness, Black advances them to create weaknesses in the White pawn position. The difference is that Black <can> exploit the resulting weaknesses in the White kingside pawn structure. In the final position White has no good way to prevent the simple threat of ... ♔g5, ... ♔h4, and ... ♔xh3 followed by the promotion of the Black h-pawn.

Aug-07-11  Everett: An unusual lack of castling for black in this line. Also, a nice touch with 27..Rb8, explaining to the bishop that he is not going anywhere for the moment.
Oct-07-18  Everett: Haha, well it seems that 18..0-0-0 would have been best, and 20.Nd6+ would have been decisive for White.
