Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-08-06   korger: This is a nice little game, with a neatly carried out king-side attack and a good mating combination.

After 21. Ne5! White already has significant advantage, with her last move aiming to capture the Black queen like 21... Bxg5 22. Rh8+! Kxh8 23. Nxf7+ Kg8 24. Nxd8. However, the awkward 21... f6? allows a quick finish: 22. Nh6+! gxh6 23. Bh7+ Kh8
(or 23... Kf8 24. Qg6 fxe5 25. Qg8#)
24. Nf7+ Kg7 25. Qg6+ Kf8 26. Qg8#.

I recommend "22: White to move" for a Wednesday puzzle.
