twinlark: These early games by Aronian are a treat. At first glance, White's position after 29.Bh1 looks awkward at best with Black's pieces poised menacingly around the White King, and White's piece placement looking discoordinated.

Yet White turns the tables within a handful of moves demonstrating that your position doesn't have to look good to be good. Black's 29...Rxb3 probably speeds the end but Black's weakness on the back rank and on both wings were indefensible.

These early games also showcase Aronian's deftness with the Queen and his appreciation of its power.
