Mar-05-06  Ingolf: If they are playing with automatic boards, perhaps Leko spilled some coffee on the f1 square?
Mar-05-06  Mateo: Hello to everyone. I am just looking to the game right now. It seems that Black has a small edge here. Don't you think so?

An Englishman: I have no idea what everyone's talking about. Sounds like I've missed some good clean spurious fun.
Mar-05-06  HrodHerich: I don't get this last move.
Mar-05-06  madlydeeply: isn't leko stranding the knight?
Mar-05-06  cuendillar: <An Englishman: I have no idea what everyone's talking about. Sounds like I've missed some good clean spurious fun.> The bizarre line 22.Bf1 Qd8 23.Kc1 appeared on the board.
Mar-05-06  TrueBlue: Hei! Who hacked the official website! I demand that you let us watch at least the Topalov game! Or you will have problems with the Bulgarian hackers!

btw anyone have the real moves of the Topalov game?

Mar-05-06  menacing knights: does anyone have any idea about the topa-aronian game?
Mar-05-06  Mateo: 22... Rad8 looks safe and good.
Mar-05-06  madlydeeply: attacking d5 with the knight.
Mar-05-06  stiffsurgeon: Topal-Aron game looks drawish.... Without queens, with opposite colored bishops....
Mar-05-06  Fan of Leko: Not much happening in Topalov game either. Seems comfortable for Aronian.
Mar-05-06  orio24: Very interesting game so far. Do you think black has to play 22. - Rad8 or is it better/possible to sac 22. - dxe4 23. Nxa8 Bxa8...?
Mar-05-06  TheUnkraut: I would increase svidlers winning chances enormously if he could make leko change his dark-squared bishop against his knight-is there in any line any possibility for that?
Mar-05-06  madlydeeply: black needs to eliminate white's queen bishop. mebbe Rad8 starts that process

An Englishman: Since White has spent so many tempi with the Knight to attack a Rook that hasn't moves, Black might also consider a different Exchange sac--...a5-a4; Nxa8,Rxa8.
Mar-05-06  maxfrank: 22 ...Rad8 seems anti-positional, and a little awkward after 23 f4
Mar-05-06  stiffsurgeon: Only player with the full point in this round... wil be Ivanchuk.... :)

Ulhumbrus: After 23 f4 Nd7 24 Nxd7 followed by e5, Svidler's choice of strategy-playing for ..d5 instead of ..a4- may turn out to be mistaken.
Mar-05-06  HalfOpenFile: if 23 f4 does black not play 23.. dxe4?
Mar-05-06  Mateo: If 23. f4? Nf3! 24. Bf3 de .
Mar-05-06  madlydeeply: stiffsurgeoun suffers from antiendgamismophobia
Mar-05-06  Mateo: Now I expect 24. Nd5 Rd5 25. Qe3 =.
Mar-05-06  TheSlid: <Ulhumbrus> Analysis by Fritz 8:

3. (-1.97): 23.f3-f4 Ne5-f3 24.Be2xf3 d5xe4 25.Qd2-e3 Bf6xd4 26.Rd1xd4 Rd8xd4 27.Qe3xd4 e4xf3 28.Qd4-e3 Rf8xf4

Ulhumbrus: Now 24 Nxd5 gains the bishop pair and perhaps the advantage and perhaps a win ( some advantage, leading to an eventual win)
