Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-20-06  olydream3: i like the king at the side, safe and sound, protected by the queen
Mar-20-06  AdrianP: Scary king-walk!
Mar-20-06  hitman84: What a game! go vishy go!!!
Mar-20-06  Fan of Leko: Instead of 32 ...Re5 I like Rf8 followed by Ne5. The setup he plays (Re5, Nf6) lets Anand trade rooks and get his Spanish bishop active after d6+, if not lost at least risky for black.
Mar-21-06  alexandrovm: great game...
Mar-22-06  Nomen Nescio: Why
21. c3...
22. c4 ...
?
Mar-23-06  gauer: I wonder how close this is to being a record setter for cases in which trades have occurred, a pawn capture or recapture is involved (if I'm counting correctly, 5 of 9 captures changed the pawn structure after only the white move 31 - with many pieces still aboard). I'll have to check and see if Tim Krabbe has tried tracking this on his site.
Mar-23-06  Joao Quinta Godinhos: Anand is definetely the King of Rapid chess, he will win again this tourney.
Apr-02-06  Viking55803: If I'm not off my nut, V. Anand missed mate in 2 at move 45. Qe7+ ...Kh8 46. Qf8#
Apr-02-06  you vs yourself: <Viking55803> Anand was facing checks from moves 44 to 48.
Apr-05-06  Viking55803: oops!
