Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-09-08   SouCapi: It seems to me the score is incorrect: it should read 1-0, white treats mate with 44. Qd7. Black panic and resigned. However, I think black is able to stop mate with 44... Qg3+ 45.Kxg3 Qb3+ 46. Kf4 Qf7 which defends the rook in e8 and stop mate at g7.

What really happended in this game?

Jun-09-08   truefriends: 44... Qxd4! stops the mate and wins a rooks so still 0-1

Just checked my puter analysis.
Jun-09-08   Waitaka: <MikeB20> Dont tell anybody, but I also used a computer on this one... ;)
Sep-21-08   SouCapi: Thanks <Waitaka>. Trying to find just a way to stop black getting mated I missed the 44...Qh1+ blow!
